Protein Mix~

1. What is Protein Mix~?
Ans. Protein Mix~ is a brand and the words are derived from Protein (source of protein) and Mix (to be mix with cooked grains or cereal or kibbles) for animal use.

2. How many types of Protein Mix~ do you have right now?
Ans. Right now, I got Protein Mix~ Pork.

3. What is the ingredients of Protein Mix~?
Ans. The only ingredients of Protein Mix~ Pork is Pork Meat, dried, cooked (heat) and Powderized.

4. Where is the source of your Protein Mix~?
Ans. Source of Protein Mix~ Pork is Europe.

5. How long have you been using Protein Mix?
Ans. I have been using it for around 5 years. And I find it good and very cost effective for my 70 dogs. (most of them are large breed k9s).

6. Why do you switch to Protein Mix~?
Ans. Before I am using commercial dog kibbles like most of us here. I got around 10 large breed dogs then, when my pet dogs reached around 30 of them. I started having difficulty with my budget for dog food. Then rather than selling most of them (it is heartbreaking for me to sell my dogs). And my family keeps on bugging me about the costs of dog foods. I was oblige to look for alternative dog food that is both quality and cost effective. Along the way, I discovered Protein Mix~ from Soya and Chicken. But it is not enough for me since Soya protein have lower protein value (biological value) than animal protein. So I changed the Soya and Chicken, now I got the Protein Mix~ Pork.

Before I introduced Protein Mix~ to the public. Ive made alot of queries, research studies, read a lot of books on dogs diet, information from internet, from breeder friends (who are not willing to share their secrets to others) I have to buy dogs from them first to get information from them, from vets, from animal nutritionist. I introduced my formula to my dogs. I have to adjust the ratio of protein, carbohydrates and fats given to them. I thank some of my dogs who participated in my studies. After everything is ok, results are good. Then I totally changed my dog food to Protein Mix~ diet for all my dogs. Then my dog's number increased to 70 right now.

7. When do you start selling Protein Mix~?
Ans. I only started selling Protein Mix~ recent years, before I introduce it to others, I wanted to make sure it works for all my dogs. I conducted studies like buying skinny dogs and bulk them up in few weeks. I observed the energy level of my dogs, they are great. Skins are great. (ofcourse food are not the only factor contributed to great dogs, you also need exercise, elevated cages, grooming, vaccination, etc.. Environment must also be clean.)

I also shared my studies to some friends who are k9 providers, breeders and dog groups. They became my regular buyer of Protein Mix~, I ask them to tell others.

I read forums on internet, people owning and breeding large dogs have same problem as I used to have. People are no longer interested in breeding large dogs because of the costs. Popularity for large dogs begins to drop as well as the price of large breed. I cant blame them also, in economic hard times, people first before animals. I started sharing Protein Mix~ here.

8. Do you think Protein Mix~ is better than commercial kibbles, canned food, Barf and sawdusts?
Ans. Im not saying Protein Mix~ is better, for there are commercial dog kibbles that are great. Some claimed that Barfing and sawdust are great also. Protein Mix is great also and very costs effective. I dont want to write the advantages of Protein Mix over commercial kibbles for this will start unfriendly arguments from kibbles seller. Though I can write the advantages of Protein mix and saw dusts.

9. Ok then, tell me the advantages of Protein Mix vs Saw Dust.
Ans. Ok. first. Saw dust is heavier, water is present in sawdust which add up to the weight. Like if you buy a kilo of saw dust, take all the water out, and find out what is left. So you actually pay the weight of the water rather than the protein itself. 2nd. Protein Mix is ready to serve. Its already cooked (ultra heat) then powderized. In saw dust, to make sure all microorganisms are killed, you have to boil it first. 3rd. Storage, Protein Mix can be stored for a year (when kept in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight). Sawdust can be kept in freezers. You have to spend hours to thaw the ice first. Lots of liquids and blood dripping. You cannot buy in bulk or quantity is limited due to freezer space.

10. What are the applications of Protein Mix~.
Ans. Protein Mix~ can be staple food of your pet. Protein Mix~ can be a protein supplement also. It can also be added to your existing dogfood to increase the protein. It can also enhance the taste of your existing dog food.

11. How do you prepare Protein Mix~ ?
Ans. Ok, basically you need Protein, carbohydrates and fats. So you need Protein Mix~ for Protein, Rice, cooked gritted corn, cooked gritted wheat, oats, cereals, etc. for your carbohydrates and Animal Fats (LARD), margarine, butter, VCO, vegestable oil, coconut cooking oil for fats. Other essential vitamins, minerals and amino acids are already present in these basic food group. (You can give fruits like banana or veggies to dogs and cats, but its not essential).

Since we wanted to use Protein Mix~ to make cost efficient dog food. So I would only recommend costs effective ingredients for our mix. Like I would recommend vegestable oil for fats (or used cooking oil), gritted corn or gritted wheat (cooked) and Protein Mix~ Pork.

1st. Boil water. add gritted wheat or corn (the finer the grits, the better absorption by the pet). Stir until it is fully mixed with water. Reduce the flame of the fire for about 15 mins. Check if it is cooked. If it is cooked, the mix is smooth like cooked rice. Then close the lid and let is cool overnight.

2nd. Mix the cooked grits with Protein mix, add some water for easier mixing, then add 1 to 2 tablespoon of cooking oil. Then serve.

Suggested amount of grits is 400 to 500 grams for 1 large dog (rottweiler, gsd, pitbull, belgian malinois) and 100 grams of Protein Mix~ and 1 to 2 tablespoon of cooking oil. That is good for 1 day. If you feed your dog twice a day. Then divide the serving. (The amount prepared depends on the purpose and activity of the dog, if your dog is skinny and you want to make it fat or if ur dog is a working dog, definitely ur dog needs more food.)

As an added bonus. You can make great snacks like Protein Mix~ Coated SABA. You can buy SABA (banana) and rolled in Protein Mix~pork powder. Makes a great snack. 1 saba costs only 1 peso. 2 to 3 pcs of saba is already enough for 1 large dog.

12. I have lots of dogs, how can I save more?
Ans. Basically, the more dogs you have, the lower the cost per serving. Like for example, have a helper do the cooking. Almost same amount of time spent for cooking for 1 dog to cooking for 10 or 20 dogs. The fire used whether you used wood or LPG. If you buy wheat or corn grits, price should be lower if you buy it by the sacks. I would recommend you to buy corn grinding equipment since it is considered as longterm investment (cost around 1500 per unit in RAON). Buy a cookware in wetmarket not in grocery or department store (a cookware enough for 10 dogs costs around 600 pesos, but when you buy in supermarket, it costs around 1500.) Cost saving ideas are limitless when you seek it.

13. How much do you sell your Protein Mix~?
Ans. A 5-kilo pack Protein Mix~ Pork is P 350 only. I also give discounts to bulk buyers.

14. Do you deliver nationwide?
Ans. Right now, product is for pick up only.

15. Where can I get your Protein Mix~?
Ans. Location: km 21 Ortigas avenue extension, Cainta Rizal.
(from Cainta junction going to tikling, you will passby bayanihan village, then few meters more, you will see LBC, we are located in front of LBC distribution center.)
You will also see outdoor stairs and rollup doors.
